The contents and quantities shown in the table
above gives you an idea of what you might find in typical boxes in
the winter. We try to ring the changes each week, but usually put
in potatoes, carrots and onions, a root vegetable, then seasonal greens
and some ‘treats’ in the bigger boxes. Contents will vary
according to price, availability, and your personal likes and dislikes.
Other lines which we usually have
available at this time of year are - red, baking and salad potatoes,
red onions, shallots, swede, turnips, beetroot, celeriac, jerusalem
artichokes, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, green and white cabbage,
cauliflower, red and green curly kale, cavelo nero (black kale)
leeks, purple sprouting broccoli, swiss chard, butternut and other
various squashes, aubergines, mixed bean sprouts, alfalfa sprouts,
pink radish sprouts, chinese leaves, celery, cucumber, fennel, green
and yellow peppers, cherry tomatoes and garlic.

*Concessions £3– senior citizens and singles only
please.
We have a good range of fruit all year round, but in winter the emphasis
is on citrus, and in the summer more on seasonal UK apples, pears
and plums. As with the vegetable boxes, fruit selections will depend
on seasonal availability, price, and your own preferences. The above
tables are to give an approximate idea of quantities.
All fruit is charged for separately so you can choose the amount
you’d like to spend on vegetabes and salads, and on fruit.
Minimum order for fruit is £4 (£3 concessions*) but
if you’d like a standing order of particular fruit in addition
to your veg box (eg 1 kg of apples, or just one lemon weekly) there
is no minimum charge.
If you are not having a veg box, the minimum fruit order is £10.
